Christian Teelucksingh is founder and creator of Breakthrough Ideas, LLC. Breakthrough Ideas is a turnkey production company with offerings in both television and film. With a career spanning over two decades dating back to early years at PBS, and then CBS, as well as Black Entertainment Television, Christian's production experience is extensive, working in-studio as well as in the field, directing and producing projects with crews of up to a hundred team members, and operating and managing budgets of up to $2 million at a time.
From commercials to documentaries, Christian has executed in both short-form and long-form projects. Creating for clients such as Fox Searchlight, Sony Pictures, Universal Studios, Lionsgate Films, Miramax, Showtime, EA Sports, and BMW have honed Christian's storytelling skills.
Accolades include work directing and producing in the field as part of the award-winning team for BET's "Katrina S.O.S. Telethon," as well as being honored with an Accolade Global Film Competition Award of Excellence. As a member of the Television Academy of Arts & Sciences, Christian was an elected two-term member of the Board of Governors DC Chapter, and was also Chairman of the DC Chapter Emmy Awards.
Marilyn Gill is an Emmy nominated and 3-time NAACP Award-winning Executive Producer and Showrunner, whose work has appeared on BET, ABC, CBS, NBC, Disney, FOX, Aspire and Syndication among others.
Marilyn Executive Produced and served as Showrunner for several music series for BET, including the acclaimed tentpole music competition, Sunday Best for 8 successful seasons, Celebration of Gospel for 6 seasons and Bobby Jones Gospel, which was the longest running show in cable television history.
Fun fact! As Director of Development for Eddie Murphy Productions, Marilyn worked on the development of The Golden Child, and Coming to America!
She is a member of the Television Academy of Arts and Sciences, Producers Guild, Women in Film, Women Impact Network, Humanitas, NAACP and the former President of Catholics in Media (CIMA).
